May 28 - August 5: 70 days 4 Peace Vigil

70 days 4 Peace is a vigil to be held on the University Lutheran Church stoop, 66 Winthrop St, Cambridge, MA during the 70 days leading up to the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima.

The time: 7:00 pm-7:16 pm every evening because at 8:16 am Japan time/ 7:16 pm Eastern Time was the time the bomb was dropped. 

* Final day of the vigil on August 5 : Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still with Us

July 29Nuclear Savage: Screening and discussion

First Church in Cambridge, 11 Garden St, 7pm.


August 4-9Abolish War: Let Us Walk Together.

Hearing the Cry of Survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  Peace Walk in Leverett, Concord, Lexington, Arlington, Boston, Amherst, and Northampton.

August 6, 3pm:  Boston Remembers Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Collaborative reading of Thomas Merton’s “Original Child Bomb,” and then floating candle boats on the Charles near the Meeting House.  5 Longfellow Park, Cambridge MA.
