with Director Barry Frechette & Producer Peter Grilli

725 Commonwealth Avenue, CAS 211 (second floor)
Boston University, Boston MA 02215

 Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5 - 7 PM

Paper Lanterns tells the little-known story of the twelve American prisoners-of-war who were killed by the atomic bomb at Hiroshima in August 1945. It also introduces Shigeaki Mori, a Hiroshima hibakusha who experienced the A-bomb as a child of eight, and who has devoted much of his life to preserving the legacy of the 12 American victims. Moving audiences at Film Festivals across the globe and winning numerous awards for film and score, Paper Lanterns was also featured at the United Nations Disarmament Conference on June 19, 2017.

Producer Peter Grilli and Director Barry Frechette will be present to introduce the film and answer questions from the audience, with a discussion moderated by Professor Merry White.

A sushi reception will follow after the screening

Open to the Public! All are welcome!
