About the event
Join the Japan Society of Boston to learn an easy way to try suminagashi, a traditional artform using sumi ink and water to create beautiful designs on paper. Suitable for all ages, the workshop will be free and all materials will be provided for participants to walk away with a beautiful suminagashi paper. Our drop-in workshop will be just one of the many family-friendly classes and activities offered during the festival!

The weeklong festival, hosted by The Foundry Consortium, will offer free programming to explore how art and design can drive social change and inspire community engagement. The festival intends to bridge generational gaps and foster connections between communities. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate in as many activities as you are excited about.
