About the event
The town of Ushitsu in Ishikawa Prefecture holds a very different type of summer festival. Join the Japan Society of Boston as we explore how the people of Ushtisu celebrate fire, violence, and rampage in a summer festival that people from all over Japan come to see.
This is a free, hour-long presentation with Q&A hosted by JSB staff member Ian Malloy on Zoom. Special thanks to Robby Hason for the photos, videos, and information on the Fire and Violence Festival.
