About the event

We’re excited to invite you to participate in a fun, family-friendly online cooking class. Participants will learn to make Onigiri, Japanese rice balls! The special Onigiri Making Class is presented in partnership with TABLE FOR TWO USA, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, and JETRO.

In this special Ouchigohan, participants will receive an Onigiri Action Kit in the mail with all the necessary authentic Japanese ingredients, including Japanese rice, tuna, Kewpie mayonnaise, special seasoning packets, Onigiri tools, and more!

After a short presentation about Onigiri, participants will cook together with the Japanese ingredients led by our Ouchigohan instructor Debra Samuels from TABLE FOR TWO. You will also learn about "Onigiri Action," a unique campaign to make a difference in the world through Onigiri. It promises to be a fun program for all ages (younger participants will need the help of their parents or an adult to keep up with the pace of the class). In the kit, there is enough rice to make four onigiri rice balls so siblings and parents can participate.

This class has limited space and registration is first come, first served with a limit of one (1) Onigiri Action kit per household.

The onigiri kits are now sold out. You may still register for the class and will be provided the recipe and list of ingredients to purchase individually.
