After our Winter 2023 Semester finishes in late March, the Japan Society of Boston will unfortunately be discontinuing its Japanese language school.
For those interested in private (one-on-one) or semi-private
(2-4 people) Japanese lessons, feel free to contact us at language@japansocietyboston.org and we can put you in touch with our language instructors.

The JSB Language Room
The Japan Society of Boston Language Room provides the perfect community for you to build up your Japanese or English speaking ability, giving you confidence while introducing you to Japanese Language enthusiasts from all over the country.
Each month has its own theme, such as O-Hanami in the month of April. The Language Room is sorted into four ability groups: introductory, intermediate, advanced, and native speaker. The first half of the small group discussions is dedicated to speaking in Japanese, while the second half is dedicated to speaking in English. Following small group discussions is our bilingual networking session.
